At one point in your life you couldn’t live without that tattoo.  Now you can’t live with it.  You want it gone.  The good news is there are many options for tattoo removal.  They include, laser, IPL, dermabrasion, excision, removal creams, and TCA.

You’ve know that laser, IPL, dermabrasion, and excision are pretty pricey and you don’t have a lot of money to spend.  You’re tempted to try an at home tattoo removal solution, such as a cream or TCA, but you want to know if they really work or if the only thing that will be removed is cash from your wallet.

What happens a lot is that a person will buy a tattoo removal cream and use it for awhile with little or no positive results.  He will then jump to another cream and have the same bad experience.  The result?  Hundreds of dollars spent, the tattoo isn’t gone, and the person is very upset.  He thinks all creams are a scam.

What’s wrong with that picture?  What should you do differently if you are considering a tattoo removing cream?  First of all, know your tattoo.  You’ve had it for years.  How old is it?  How deeply is it inked?  How large is it?  How many different colors are in it?  What is your complexion type?  Where on your body is the tattoo you want to remove?

Once you answer all of these questions, then you are in a position to research all tattoo removal creams and pick from those that fit your criteria.  Be sure to look at honest reviews from people who have actually used the product or products you are considering.  Look at sites that not only tell you the good things, but the bad as well.  Then you are in a good position to choose a product that will work for you.

Once you choose a product, patience is the key.  None of these products say they will work overnight.  It often takes many months, sometimes as long as a year – or even longer – to see results.  You’re spending the bucks; give the product a chance to work for you before saying it’s a scam and throwing it in the dumper.

Bottom line is, at home tattoo removal isn’t necessarily a scam if you do your research.  That doesn’t mean the product will remove every last vestige of your tattoo, but it means that you have the best shot at success without emptying your wallet and getting exceedingly frustrated when things don’t work as you hoped.
